Assuring food safety during Sea Festival

In order to assure food safety during Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023, under the direction of the Department of Health, Khanh Hoa Division of Food Hygiene and Safety has undertaken food safety inspection at businesses involved in food service in Nha Trang City.

According to Nguyen Dinh Hung, Chief of the Professional Office of Khanh Hoa Provincial Division of Food Safety said, the inspection lasts from May 25 to June 2, focusing on carrying out inspection visits to local food businesses.

Specifically, inspection includes check for business certificates, food safety certificates, health certificates, origins of materials, additives; sanitation conditions; food sampling, etc.

At Sanvinest Khanh Hoa Restaurant  - Vanz Dimsum - Samba Café, Vinh Diem Trung Urban Area, Vinh Hiep Commune, Nha Trang City, the commercial kitchen is equipped with sufficient labor protection tools as required. The business owner and food handlers have food safety training certificates and health certificates. The food complies with food standards legislation."

According to Nguyen Khoa Bao, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Material Supply Supplier (Salangane Khanh Hoa - Vanz Dimsum - Samba Cafe), food safety is the top priority. The company works with reputable food material suppliers and has business certificate. During the Sea Festival, a large number of visitors at home and aboard are expected to flock to Khanh Hoa, therefore, to assure sufficient safe food supply, the company has signed with food suppliers to offer extensive menus.

In response to the Food Safety Month 2023, from April 15 to May 15, Khanh Hoa Province founded 160 inspection teams, carrying out inspection visits to 3,383 food businesses.

According to Nguyen Dinh Hung, the food safety inspection to prepare the Sea Festival has achieved 50% of the plan. Most of the businesses have well abided by food safety regulations. The inspection also includes boosting propaganda boost to raise awareness of food safety.
