Ensuring security and safety during Sea Festival

Under the plan by Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023 is scheduled to take place on June 3-6 with numerous activities. Khanh Hoa Border Defense Force Headquarters are implementing plans to provide a safe and secure environment for all activities during the upcoming Sea Festival.

This year’s Sea Festival is expected to include many distinctive cultural and sporting events together with tourism and trade promotion conferences and workshops. To keep the festival safe, Khanh Hoa Border Defense Force Headquarters has boosted direction and assigned specific tasks to units and maintain close cooperation with local authorities to ensure safety in maritime border areas and on islands.

According to Colonel Phan Thang Long, Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Border Defense Force Headquarters, under the direction of Provincial People’s Committee, Khanh Hoa has built plans to ensure safety and security during the festival.

Accordingly, Provincial Border Defense Force Headquarters have directed units to implement directives and plans; take measures and solutions to make sure festival goes smoothly and safely as planned.

As a focus destination of tourism activities with unique tourist spots, including islands, Nha Trang is expected to witness congregation of huge crowds of revealers, including visitors and residents. Therefore, border defense agencies will boost roving patrols to closely monitor all situations and circumstances over the event safety and security and assure smooth and unimpeded flow traffic in marine border areas in general and on Nha Trang Bay in particular.

Lieutenant-colonel Vu Anh Tu, Head of Nha Trang Port Border Station said, “Nha Trang is a focus destination of tourism activities. We have made plans and mobilized forces and equipment for patrols on road and at sea; focusing on propaganda to get all residents involved in crime prevention together with frequent patrols to ensure law enforcement and security during the event.”

The period when the festival goes off is also the time for concentrated crime prevention and control. Therefore, comprehensive border professional measures will be boosted to suppress crimes and social evils to ensure law enforcement and security during the event.

According to Colonel Phan Thang Long, the safety operation preparation for the festival in particular and in border and islands is completed. All cadres and soldiers are determined to fulfill their duties to keep the event safe and secure.
