Exciting sports activities to take place in Sea Festival 2023

Besides diverse cultural activities, Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023 also have many exciting sports activities, which are expected to promote typical sports services of Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province and contribute to the development of local physical exercise and sports movement.

The first event of the series of sports activities of Sea Festival 2023 is the basket boat paddling and swinging competition taking place on May 26 and 27 in the sea area along Tran Phu Street. This is a familiar activity of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival. Travelling by basket boats to transport necessities from land to boats for long fishing voyages is a daily activity of people in the coastal city of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa. When it became a contest, the competitions among teams have made this normal activity a unique cultural feature, attracting the interest of many tourists. In Sea Festival 2019, after the basket boat paddling and swinging competition ended, some foreign tourists asked to try travelling by these unique boats.

The other typical sports activities of Nha Trang held on the occasions of festivals include sea rescue contest, unicorn-lion-dragon dance contest and fishing contest. Unicorn-lion-dragon dance was incorporated into the 9th National Sports Festival. Reportedly, the preparations for the contests have been done. The organizers of Sea Festival 2023 hope to bring interesting and unique activities and unique experiences to locals and tourists in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa during the festival.
