Gearing up for Sea Festival

Last minute preparations are going on for the upcoming Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023 in Nha Trang City, a focus destination with numerous events and activities.

Thorough preparation

Nha Trang Urban Environment Company is speeding up the decoration in Nha Trang City in the run-up to the Sea Festival. At the meeting held by Nha Trang City People’s Committee to review preparation for activities in response to the Festival, Cao Dinh Trung, Chief of Nha Trang City People’s Committee, the Management Board of the City Public Services said the city had installed LED decoration lights on main streets and welcome gates.

Nha Trang Urban Environment Joint Stock had added pots of flowers and flower towers on traffic islands at 2-4 Square, in front of State agencies; together with decorative lights. The company will also put more dust bins and portable rest rooms; regularly run clean-up operations and maintain effective public lighting systems. The City Urban Management Office will check all traffic lights; traffic control for the Festival; continue providing consultancy for running the concentrated traffic safety period during the festival.

5 parking plots for bikes and motorbikes will be at Khanh Hoa University, Loc Tho Primary School, Tan Lap 1 Primary School, Phuoc Tien Primary School, Thai Nguyen Junior High School, Nha Trang City for pedestrians along Tran Phu Street. The city police has assured plans to ensure security for the festival following the provincial public security’s plan. Mobile police squads are ready for taking their duties.

The city vanguards are ready for providing residens and tourists with essential information and help with the road crossing during the festival  at the junctions of Tran Phu – Le Thanh Ton, Tran Phu – Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and Tran Phu – Biet Thu. The city has also enhanced food safety at businesses involved in food service.

Numerous activities in response to the Sea Festival

11 activities are scheduled to take place in response to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023, from May 26 to June 4. They include basket boat rowing, swimming, unicorn dance, fishing, sea lifeguard competitions; folk dance and singing III; food festival; couple dance festival, Ao dai costume parade and a clean-up day.

Nguyen Sy Khanh, Chairman of City People’s Committee requested local agencies to accelerate the preparation for the festival. The urban decoration and embellishment is scheduled to finish on May 30 at the latest. The lighting efficiency and saving must be ensured during the festive celebrations.

All units are speeding up final preparation for the festival security, food safety, Covid-19 prevention and control, proper traffic control and environmental sanitation together with notification of hotlines for any inquiries, concerns and assistance.
