“Railroad with flowers” campaign launched

On May 20, Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company launched a flower cultivation campaign alongside the north-south railway line in response to the program on growing 1 billion trees for Green Vietnam.

At the launching ceremony, nearly 200 trees of all kinds were planted from Km1314 + 590 to Km1314 + 700 along the north-south railway line in Nha Trang City. Besides, more than 100 Youth Union members and staff of the company, representatives of Khanh Hoa Tourism Association and some tourism businesses joined effort to clean up the railway corridor and plant some kinds of flowers such as Bougainvillea, Tabebuia caraiba, Ixora coccinea... along the 200m of the railway line.  

Nearly 200 trees of all kinds are planted alongside the railway line.

The flower cultivation is to promote the traditional tree cultivation, contributing to raising public awareness and responsibility for the management, protection and preservation of the landscape for environmental sustainability. The campaign is scheduled to last until 2025.
