Volunteer summer campaign 2023 begins 

The volunteer summer campaign 2023 takes place from May to October with practical activities towards disadvantaged areas and ethnic minority communities in Khanh Hoa Province.

According to Tran Anh Tuan, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union, the campaign targets at basic criteria such as organizing the participation of 40,000 Youth Union members and young people in volunteer activities held by the Youth Union affiliations; building at least 2 houses, repairing 10 schools and 10 houses for policy beneficiaries, cultivating at least 50,000 trees, raising capacity for at least 40,000 residents and helping at least 5,000 children in need.

Exam season support in Nha Trang City in 2022.

The campaign includes the exam season support, Green summer volunteering, “Red flamboyant”, “Pink vacation” and Green military operations.

The “Exam season support” runs from May 29 to June 4, giving assistance to candidates of the 10th grade entrance exam, the national high school graduation exam 2023 and ability tests with the participation of young teachers, students and Youth Union members before, during and after the exams.

The Green Summer Volunteer Campaign is scheduled to take place from June 1 to August 31 with the participation of students, young lecturers from colleges, universities and vocational high schools; Youth Union members and local people. The volunteers will get involved in new rural construction, urban civilization, environmental protection, climate change response, social welfare and traffic safety promotion.

The volunteer campaign, namely “Pink vacation" will be implemented by the young public sector staff and young people. The targets of the campaign include propaganda on building e-Government, online public services and administrative procedures; organize volunteers to coordinate with local community digital technology teams to provide propaganda and guidance related to digital transformation and intellectual property in agriculture, forestry and fishery; promote the program "Khanh Hoa people speak English"; building playgrounds and awarding scholarships and gifts to local children.

"Green military operations” is assigned to military staff; the Red flamboyant” is carried out by students at high schools, vocational and regular education schools.

The launching ceremony for the volunteer summer campaign 2023 is scheduled to take place at 2-4 Square, Nha Trang City in early June with the peak period on June 11 (volunteering for children), July 23 (joining hands for new rural construction and Green Sunday); August 11 (soldiers volunteer for urban civilization and online public service assistance)

With the specific plans, the volunteer summer campaign 2023 promises to be held effectively and widely linked with political tasks and based on actual needs of communities,  contributing to the promoting the youth’s enthusiasm and volunteering for local socio-economic development and social security maintenance, especially in disadvantaged remote communities and coastal  areas.
