Maintaining quality of beach football movement

Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports recently organized the provincial beach football tournament 2023. The tournament is an annual sports activity of Khanh Hoa, aiming to maintain the quality of beach football movement in the province.

This year’s tournament gathered 5 teams of Nha Trang City, Dien Khanh District, Khanh Vinh District, Khanh Son District and Van Ninh District. These were the localities which had strong beach football movement in Khanh Hoa. The teams played in a single round robin format to decide ranks. The new thing in the regulations of the 2023 tournament compared to the previous ones was that each team could register 12 players to play, with at least 5 local players. Besides, each team can recruit 2 players of the beach football team of Khanh Hoa Provincial Sport Technique Center.

This change of the regulations encouraged and created conditions for the localities to call for public contribution effectively to improve their force. For example, the team of Nha Trang, which was originally strong with many competent players, was sponsored by the owner of Hai Truong Restaurant, a football lover. The teams of Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh also recruited some quality players. This contributed to the improved quality of the matches.

Nha Trang and Dien Khanh were the finalists of the 2023 tournament. Finally, Nha Trang thrashed Dien Khanh 9-3 in the final and claimed the championship. This was also the third title in a row of Nha Trang. The tournament recorded 10 matches played and 98 goals.

As said by head coach Trang Quoc Hoang of Nha Trang team, this year’s tournament had high quality thanks to the quite-even quality of the participating teams. Through this tournament, the organization committee also wanted to help the players of the provincial Sports Technique Center practice and prepare for the national beach football tournament scheduled to take place in Nha Trang in July 2023.
