Over 6,000 women in Khanh Hoa Province gathered at 2-4 Square (Nha Trang City) on June 4 morning to join a parade “Honoring Ao Dai – Vietnam’s cultural heritage”. The representatives taking part in the event included Nguyen Khac Toan - Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Van Thieu - Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Nguyen Van Xang - representative of VietKings in the central region.

As said by Dinh Van Thieu, the parade was a highlight of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023, aiming honor the value of Ao Dai. The event was also proposed to set a Vietnamese record, according to Nguyen Quynh Nga, Chairwoman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union.

The participants paraded along some main street in Nha Trang. 5,432 Ao Dai were registered for a Vietnamese record. The office of VietKings in the central region recorded the number and will complete the proposed document for record recognition in the future.
