Promoting connection with international partners “Aspiration for development”

Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee presided over and cooperated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a conference connecting Khanh Hoa with international partners “Aspiration for development” and relevant events from June 4 to June 5.

Present at the event were Nguyen Khac Toan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Council; Le Huu Hoang, Standing Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee together with 200 representatives from China, France, Laos, Singapore, Cambodia, Italy, Netherlands, Cuba, Russia, Thailand, Switzerland and international businesses and organizations.

The conference took place at Muong Thanh Luxury Nha Trang Hotel, 60 Tran Phu, Nha Trang City with sessions in the fields of Investment, culture, tourism, sustainable development, international cooperation between Khanh Hoa province and international partners; statements of foreign representative offices in Vietnam; delegates' opinions... This was one of the important events to celebrate the 370th anniversary of construction and development of Khanh Hoa Province (1653 - 2023), the 10th Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023. The conference was an opportunity for Khanh Hoa Province to promote the destination of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa and call for investment, cooperation in trade, tourism, culture, development. sustainable marine economy of the province in the coming time.

This was also a forum for delegates to exchange, contribute ideas serving as a link to promote cooperation with Khanh Hoa in areas of mutual interest, potential, advantages, contributing to the province's socio-economic development and strengthening the friendship and cooperation relationship for mutual development between Vietnam and other countries, territories and international organizations. In addition, the delegates had chances to visit and explore tourist sites, economic parks and seafood production and business establishments in the province.

Speaking at opening ceremony, Standing Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee said since Covid-19 was under control, Khanh Hoa Province has focused on socio-economic recovery and development, achieving outstanding results. In 2022, despite many difficulties and challenges, Khanh Hoa's economy and society recovered strongly with 20/22 criteria met or exceeded. GRDP increased by 20, 7%,  the highest level in the country and the highest rise in Khanh Hoa Province in the past 10 years. The 2022  ranking showed the increase in all provincial ranking indexes.

The Standing Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hoped that the conference would give attendants a better understanding of the provincial development orientation, planning, investment and cooperation in the field of trade, tourism, culture, sustainable development of the marine economy of the province in the coming time. This was also an opportunity for delegates to share ideas to promote cooperation with Khanh Hoa in fields of mutual interest, potentials and advantages, contributing to the province's socio-economic development and strengthening the friendship and cooperation for mutual development between Vietnam and other countries, territories and international organizations.
