Varanus nebulosus founded at Dac Nhan Tam Tourist Site

Varanus nebulosus, 1.2m long and  weighing 5kg,  has just been founded in a ditch at Dac Nhan Tam Tourist Site in Dien Xuan Commune, Dien Khanh District, Khanh Hoa Province. The tourist staff is taking care of the species.

The Varanus nebulosus is listed in the Red Book of Endangered Species. Dac Nha Tam Tourist Site jointly with forest management staff will release the species back into the wild in Hon Ba Nature Reserve.

The Varanus nebulosus is 1.2m long and  weighing 5kg.
 

The Varanus nebulosus (up to 2m in length) is widely distributed in South East Asia. In Vietnam, it inhabits Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Kien Giang, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, etc.
