Over the past days, Tran Quoc Dat and a group of young people in Nha Trang City have made videos to introduce and promote the beauties of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa. These videos have started to receive public attention.

At the award ceremony of the photo and video contest "Beautiful moments of the land of aloeswood" organized recently by Khanh Hoa Newspaper, the video Nha Trang - Rising Again of entrant Tran Quoc Dat impressed the viewers. The photo won second prize in photo category, which didn’t have first-prize winner. In his photo, Dat told a story about different activities in Nha Trang City in a day such as people busy trading at Dam Market at midnight or doing morning exercise in early morning; bustling morning activities; and fishing boats returning to wharfs. Besides, Dat’s video also features many monuments and landscape in Nha Trang namely Ponagar Temple, Nha Trang Cathedral, Long Son Pagoda, Sea Festival 2023, etc. The edit and audio techniques in Dat’s video also contributed to showing daily activities and arousing emotions in viewers.
Dat and his crew spent nearly two years in developing the idea and making this 5-minute-long video. Nha Trang - Rising Again was the first non-profit project of Dat’s crew. The idea of making this video was developed in 2021 when Covid-19 epidemic was breaking out. However, in order to collect enough material for the video, especially the activities of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023, the crew had to wait until last April to start making the video. They put a lot of effort in shooting and editing the video in order to create a work with good quality.

After graduating with a major in tourism from Khanh Hoa University, Dat chose to pursue his passion for filming and photography. In 2018, Dat moved to Ho Chi Minh City to study and work at some advertising and media companies. In 2021, Dat returned to Nha Trang City and started up TK Production (420 Ngo Den Street, Ngoc Hiep Ward) and recruited some young people with the same passion. All these young people aged from 25 to 28 wish to make videos to promote Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa. They are all Nha Trang people and want to make promotion videos to introduce the beauties of Nha Trang to people in and outside the country and attract tourists to the city after seeing the impacts of Covid-19 on Nha Trang, which used to be crowded with a lot of domestic and foreign tourists.

Although there are many advertisement videos about the tourism, culture and history of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, hardly any of them have really made a strong impression on viewers. Therefore, Dat and his crew wanted to create tourism videos that can capture viewers with impressive messages right in the first frames and make them want to visit Nha Trang after watching the videos. The crew cooperated with Capligo Branding (Nha Trang) to make video “Nha Trang – Rising Again” with this aim in mind. They had intended to post the video on social media platforms, but they submitted it to the photo and video contest of Khanh Hoa Newspaper after learning about the contest.
After their video won second prize, Khanh Hoa Newspaper posted it on Khanh Hoa Online and its social media platforms. In addition, Khanh Hoa Newspaper also presented the video to Nha Trang City People's Committee, Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism, Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, Provincial Youth Union, Cam Ranh International Airport, Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company, and Champa Resort & Spa so that the video can contribute to the introduction and promotion the images of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa to people over the country and the world.
Dat and his crew are preparing for a cinematic style video project about the beauty of Nha Trang Bay, featuring the landscape of the bay and also the underwater world.
