Cham dances, drumbeats, music by Ponagar Temple or performances of traditional musical instruments in Hon Chong make tourists feel interesting when visiting these destinations.
To make Ponagar Temple more lively, Khanh Hoa Province’s Vestige & Beauty Spot Management Center has added cultural and arts activities of Cham people to it. Visiting this vestige now, tourists not only can contemplate unique architecture of the Cham temple but also have a chance to enjoy lively and strange-looking performances of Cham people. They can see the image of girls in Cham costumes carrying a water vase on their head along with a fan in their hands and dancing in music and drumbeat. The dancers and drummers are Cham people.

Additionally, visitors also are attracted by some traditional handicrafts of Cham people such as pottery making and fabric weaving right by the temple.
“This kind of dances and music here sound very beautiful. Beside visiting an ancient architecture work, I’m very happy to understand more about your culture’, said Susann Angela, an American tourist.
“I have visited some Cham temples in other provinces, but only Ponagar Temple in Nha Trang is eventful. I like it”, said Nguyen Trung Phi, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City.
Hon Chong, a famous destination in Nha Trang, also have arts activities. Tourists coming here can see an imposing landscape and hear folk music performed in concert by Vietnamese instruments such as monochord, 16-chord zither and T’rung.
Such arts and cultural activities always brings a lot of excitement for tourists and diversifies services of cultural heritages.
According to Director of the provincial Vestige & Beauty Spot Management Center Ngo My Chau, in the coming time, more cultural forms will be launched at heritages and tourist destinations to serve tourists and the quality of such activities will be improved more.
