Casio Organ Festival partly promotes music study movement

The sixteenth Casio Organ Festival of Khanh Hoa Province, which has held recently, were highly appreciated in both quantity and quality. The annual festival has promoted organ study movement in the province.

. Many new faces

The provincial Casio Organ Festival so far has become a helpful ground for children. The festival this year has 42 acts with performances of solo, duo, concert and accompaniment for singing. The festival saw the participation of contestants from 15 teams in the province.

The festival this year has been improved in quantity and quality. The contestants not only have good skills and performances but well-prepared in their clothing and appearance as well. They can play well from pieces of Vietnamese folk music to famous international songs such as Sonata, My heart will go on and Lettre à elise.

The festival saw many new faces. Remarkably, two contestants Bui Dinh Duc and Huynh Huyen Tran, from Lucky Music class, Van Gia Town, Van Ninh District, joining the event for the first time, made deep impression on audience when playing Highway Scrat as a duo.

Le Phuoc Nguyen, head of Technical Council of the festival, said, “This year, the number of contestants and acts has risen over previous years. Especially, with excellent players and good arrangement, Lucky Music class from Van Gia deserves first prize.”

. Music study movement developing

Not only as a contest, the provincial Casio Organ Festival has partly forwarded organ study movement in specific and music study movement in general in Khanh Hoa.

At present, the province has many classes of organ and piano. The largest one is Bien Xanh Music Center, based at 7F To Hien Thanh, Nha Trang, has 8 classes in Nha Trang and 10 branches in districts, including Cam Lam, Cam Ranh and Ninh Hoa. The center, whose syllabus is appreciated to be methodical and systematic, has attracted thousands of followers.

The provincial Children’s House, located at 62 Thai Nguyen Street, Nha Trang, has four organ classes with 120 students. Nha Trang City also has other classes, for example Doremi, Melody 1 and Classic.

In other districts, there are classes in their Children’s House or Cultural Center and private classes. Head of Lucky Music class Vo Thanh Son shared, “Along with the rise in living, parents give more care to their children and music classes also develop more.”
