Nha Trang City has just spent eventful Christmas days with many arts programs such as “I love Saigon Beer” festival, “Singing about soldiers and soldiers’ singing” festival and “Tiger Blue Xmas” rock music show.
Following this exciting atmosphere, Nha Trang residents and tourists will enjoy a lot of cultural and arts programs during the coming New Year holiday.
2-4 Square in Nha Trang will be the main rendezvous of activities.
On December 29 and 30 evenings, there will be traditional music shows with Vietnamese classical drama, folk songs and concert of traditional music instruments by the provincial Traditional Arts Theatre at the provincial Conference Center, 46 Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang.
On December 31 and January 1 afternoons, a human chess tournament will be held.
A music show themed “Welcome New Spring 2013” with a lot of new and interesting acts performed by will take place to serve the residents and tourists. The program will be broadcast live on KTV.
Other places also will see many activities.
In Ponagar Temple, the provincial Vestige Preservation Center will open a photo exhibition on Goddess worship in Vietnam, organize performances of Cham dances, Bau Truc pottery making and Cham brocade weaving. Especially, there will be dance drama “Pô Inư Nagar Legend” on every Friday evening.

In the seaside park opposite to Tue Tinh Street, on weekend nights as from December 22, there will be shows of young music bands, dance groups or traditional improvisational chamber music (Don ca tai tu). On January 1 evening, a program themed “Welcome New Year 2013” will also take place here.
This year, Yen Sao Park has been decorated to be a place for public activities, including photo exhibition, salangane products’ display and stage for music shows two nights a week jointly executed by Nha Trang College of Culture, Arts and Tourism and Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Company.
Beside cultural and arts activities, Nha Trang City also has become more lively with streets of sparking lights during the holiday season.
