Many awards and many works were sweet fruits artists in Khanh Hoa Province reaped in 2012 by their devoted labor.
Passionate labor
In 2012, despite of economic difficulties, artists of Khanh Hoa Province kept passion for arts and created good-quality works.
They spared no effort to find freshness and inspiration to produce artistic works. Far travels even were made, maybe by individuals or by the provincial Association of Literature and Arts. Some of them were trip to Quang Nam Province of folk artists, trip to Quang Ngai Province of 12 painters, trip to the Highlands of performing artists, trip to Kon Tum Province of photographers or trip to Binh Dinh Province of writers.
Moreover, some artists traveled to Spratly to produce works about life of soldiers and people on the archipelago. “Practical trips are necessary for artists’ creation. In 2012, I luckily came to Spratly to take a lot of photographs. I’m planning to open an individual photo exhibition about this theme in 2013”, said Professional Photographer Tran Minh Ngoc.

… and good results
“2012 is appreciated as a successful year of the province’s artistic circle. All branches have developed well and the artists have created valuable works. Many awards at regional and national levels have been attained, admitting good labor of the artists”, said Writer Hoang Nhat Tuyen, chairman of the provincial Association of Literature and Arts.
In fact, the artists in the province achieved good results. 17 works of research, criticism, fiction, poetry, notes and short stories were printed and published.
Three scripts were set up dramas. Especially, script “Danh phận” written by Nguyen Si Chuc won Excellent Script award by Vietnam Performing Artists’ Association.
Over 70 musical works were composed and three books of songs were published. Two of which were given award by Vietnam Musicians’ Association.
Photography still succeeded with many awards at regional, national and international stature.
Fine arts were also highly appreciated by painting and sculpture lovers.
