There will be a lot of interesting cultural activities in many places in Khanh Hoa Province during the long Lunar New Year Festival (Tet holiday), according to plan of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism just developed.
Lunar New Year Festival is coming. Cultural units in Khanh Hoa Province are promptly practicing for cultural activities, which will last from 2 to 17 February, 2013.
Before the festival, from 2 to 9 February, 2013, cultural activities to commemorate 83 years of Communist Party of establishment day will take place in some places in Nha Trang and other districts of the province.
The biggest one is a ceremony at the provincial Cultural Center, 46 Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang with music performances of Hai Dang Song and Dance Troop. Then, some other activities will be “Khanh Hoa Spring Newspaper Festival 2013” at the provincial Library, a calligraphy and arts stone exhibition at the provincial Cultural Center, a gallery of antiques of some Southeast Asian countries, an ornamental creature exhibition at the provincial Museum and unicorn dance festival at 2-4 Square Nha Trang.
On Lunar New Year Eve (February 9), 2-4 Square will be eventful with the special music show “Welcome Spring 2013”. This important event will be co-organized by three units, namely Hai Dang Song and Dance Troop, the provincial Cultural Center and the provincial Traditional Arts Theatre. It will be broadcast live from 10:30pm to 11:15pm on KTV channel.
There also will be many other activities such as street arts, kite flying, human chess tournament, fashion and music shows. Additionally, Nha Trang City will be embellished with light streets, flower streets, banners and welcome gates.
With careful preparation and many interesting activities, Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa surely will bring a happy and warm spring atmosphere for local people as well as tourists.
