On June 6, Khanh Hoa Provincial Museum opened exhibitions on Paracel & Spratly archipelagos – the inviolable sovereignty of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the antiques of Asian countries....

On June 6, Khanh Hoa Provincial Museum opened exhibitions on Paracel & Spratly archipelagos – the inviolable sovereignty of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the antiques of Asian countries.

In the exhibition on Paracel & Spratly archipelagos, there will be more than 100 documents and pictures, including 50 important maps showing the sovereignty of Vietnam over the two islands. These documents embrace Vietnam maps published in Vietnam (from 15th to 19th centuries) with the name of Paracel & Spratly Islands in it; Vietnam maps, Southeast Asia maps and Asia maps published in Western countries (from 16th to 20th centuries) depicting Paracel & Spratly Islands as parts of Vietnam; China map drawn by Westerners (from 16th to 20th centuries) without name of Paracel & Spratly Islands in it; China map announced by China showing no name Paracel & Spratly Islands. Moreover, there are 50 pictures of Paracel and Spratly archipelagos such as the liberation of Spratly Island, the life on Spratly Island, the sovereignty stele. The exhibition will take place during the Sea Festival, from June 8 to 11.

About 150 exhibits will be displayed in the exhibition of antiques of Asian countries. Most of exhibits are life and production tools and jewellery of ethic people in Asian countries. The exhibition will take place in 2 months.

In addition to these two objects, the exhibition will display works of the painter Han Quoc Dinh, such as the pair of vases made by carton named “Rồng thời Lý” (Ly Dynasty’s Dragon) and “Việt Nam Long hình đồ” (Dragon-shaped Vietnam map), and art painting called “Việt Nam Long hình đồ”.

Khanh Hoa provincial UNESCO association will also introduce works about Paracel & Spratly archipelagos and the country’s sea and islands.
