From early July, Lotte Cinema and Platinum Cineplaex have launched many interesting films such as Despicable Me 2,  a 2013 American 3D computer-animated family action comedy film and the sequel to the 2010 animated film Despicable Me. In the film, the star Steve Carell as Gru is back with more outrageous characters including the minions and the girls.
 
Then, the film White House Down, directed by Roland Emmerich and acted by two stars Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum also went to theatres. It’s  about an assault on the White House by a paramilitary group.  Since being released on July 5, the films have attracted a large number of viewers.
 
Additionally, there are The Lone Ranger, Blind Detective and Humming bird. There are also some Vietnamese films.

“My family often go to cinema on weekends. My children like cartoons while I like romantic and funny films”, said a women named Dao Thu Thuy, from Phuoc Tien Ward, Nha Trang.

Actually, with the opening of big cinemas such as Lotte Cinema and Platinum Cineplex along with attractive films, the movie demand in Nha Trang has risen. On weekends or holidays, cinemas are chosen as destinations for entertainment.

Lam Dao Huan, head of Lotte Cinema, said, “In June alone, Lotte Cinema sold out 15,500 tickets for films, earning over VND1 billion in turnover. With blockbusters in July, the figures are forecast to be far higher.”
 
“Platinum Cineplex sold 25,000 tickets in June. On weekends and shows at 8 – 9 am and 7 – 8 am, our cinemas are always full”, revealed Le Thi Anh Duong, marketing agent of Platinum Cineplex.
Cinemas often offer promotions to attract viewers.
