The establishment of Nha Trang antique club received a great welcome from the antique collectors.
“F or a long time, w e desired to have a place for meeting and displaying the antiques. So, when the provincial Museum offered the idea to open an antique club, we all supported. Many of us did not hesitate to bring valuable antiques to the exhibition,” said Dao Hoa, head of the club.

Nha Trang antique club is expected to have periodical meeting once a month for information exchange. In addition, the club also opens antique auctions to raise the fund for its activities.

New trend of development

According to Le Chi Huong, Director of Khanh Hoa provincial Museum, with many valuable antiques, the antique collectors have partly contributed in preserving the national cultural heritages. The opening of Nha Trang antique club aims to create a playground for the antique collectors to exchange experience, partly contributing to the movement of antique collection in Nha Trang City.

If Nha Trang antique club has a good development, there will be other antique clubs to be established in other localities in the province, aiming for an antique association in the future.

So far, the provincial Museum has organized exhibitions with its own objects or borrowed from other museums. The coordination with Nha Trang antique club has opened a new trend in organizing exhibitions. According to Dang Thi Thu, Deputy Director of the provincial Museum, in the future, the provincial Museum will associate with Nha Trang antique club to hold thematic antique displays.

Such exhibitions featuring culture and arts are very necessary to a tourist city like Nha Trang. Hopefully, Khanh Hoa Provincial Museum and Nha Trang antique club will have more attractive antique exhibitions, introducing the unique cultural heritages of Vietnam to both domestic and international tourists.
