According to the agreement between Vietnam Ministry of Cultural, Sports and Tourism and Metropolitan Museum of Art (America), 20 objects of Vietnam's museums will be lent to Metropolitan Museum of Art. Among them are five national precious objects, including Vishnu (Vishnu God statue), Surya (Surya God statue), Avalokitesvara (Avalokitesvara statue), Durga (Durga Goddess statue) and Lokeshvara (Avalokeshvara statue).

The theme of the exhibition is about the ancient sculpture arts: Hindu-Buddhist Sculpture of Early Southeast Asia, 5th to 8th Century.
The exhibition opens from April 14 to July 27, 2014.
