Three young Vietnamese pianists win first prizes at International Music Competitions

Vietnam is proud to have three young pianists gaining excellent achievements at the International Music Competitions named ""Val Tidone International Music Competitions" and "Piano Talents 2014 International Competition for Young Pianists" held in Milan (Italy) from June 9 to 16.

Vietnam is proud to have three young pianists gaining excellent achievements at the International Music Competitions named “"Val Tidone International Music Competitions" and “Piano Talents 2014 International Competition for Young Pianists" held in Milan (Italy) from June 9 to 16.
 
 At the “Val Tidone” Young Talent Competition, the Vietnam’ candidates won three first prizes at three categories out of five ones of the Piano section. Specifically, Nguyen Hoang Linh Phuong (born in 2004) bagged first prize at category “Free”; Nguyen Hoang Phuong Thy (born in 2007) and Quach Hoang Nhi (born in 2004) ranked first at category A and B respectively.

Nguyen Hoang Phuong Thy was also awarded the special prize for the most talent of the contest after winning in a competition between over 15 winners of the categories of piano, accordion, guitar and vocal music.
 
Reportedly, this year’s competition drew more than 40 candidates of 11 countries participating in the final round of piano section. The Vietnamese pianists were the youngest in the categories of piano section. 
In addition, Nguyen Hoang Phuong Thy placed first in category A while Quach Hoang Nhi won second prize in category B at “Piano Talents 2014” which attracted 109 contestants from 31 countries over the world.
