Nguyen Dynasty's royal documents recognized as world's documentary relic by UNESCO

On July 30 at the International Convention Center, Hanoi, the State Records and Archives Department under Ministry of Interior held the ceremony to receive the recognition certificate of documentary relic for royal documents signed by the Nguyen Kings.

Nguyen Dynasty’s administrative documents were officially recorded in the list of documentary relics of the Asia-Pacific Region's Memory of the World Programme on May 14, 2014.

Nguyen Dynasty’s administrative documents reflect valuable historical facts and offer evidences affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Truong Sa and Hoang Sa Archipelagos.
These administrative documents were formed based on the management activities of Nguyen Dynasty (1802 - 1945), containing rich information reflecting all aspects in Vietnam’s social life at that time.
 
Nguyen Dynasty’s royal documents not only have cultural values but also are historical and legal evidences confirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Truong Sa and Hoang Sa Archipelagos.
