In 2009 - 2014 tenure, the literature – arts field in Khanh Hoa Province has vigorously grown with numerous diversified activities and valuable works, etc.
In five years, Khanh Hoa Literature – Arts Association admitted 63 members, bringing the total number of members to 350.
In the past tenure, the association cooperated with the Provincial Department of Propaganda and Training to hold talks about situations of the nation and the world, helping the artists to have suitable orientation in writing. Besides, the association in collaboration with Nha Trang Composition House (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) held successfully a composition camp as well as created favorable conditions for its members to take part in composition camps held by the Central agencies.
In addition, the association organized 12 field trips to many revolutionary bases, historical sites and many other field trips to the rural and mountainous areas in the province and other localities in the country.

Khanh Hoa Literature – Arts Association also cooperated with other agencies to hold numerous cultural and arts events in Nha Trang City and participated in most of arts exhibitions and festivals held by the Central.
In 2009-2014 tenure, several artists of Khanh Hoa Literature – Arts Association achieved a lot of high awards at many festivals and contests such as composing contest on learning and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral example and Khanh Hoa’s five-year literature – arts awards (2006-2011).
In the past five years, most of arts fields like literature, folk arts, stage, fine arts, photography, etc. gained quite outstanding achievements. Specifically, writers of the association published 135 books of all kinds. In 2011, five writers Nguyen Gia Nung, Cao Duy Thao, Cao Linh Quan, Phong Nguyen and Xuan Tuynh were honored at Khanh Hoa’s five-year literature – arts awards (2006-2011).
The stage artists created many noteworthy researches, theoretical works and scripts and won 17 golden medals and 19 silver ones at many arts festivals. Especially, artist Thu Ha was granted title of People’s Artist while Nhat Le, Bich Vuong and Kim Khiem were conferred with the title of Excellent Artists.
Artists of folk arts finished many works which had scientific quality and practical values, partly contributing in performing political, cultural and social tasks in the province.
In the field of music, songwriter To Hai was presented the national award of literature – arts; songwriter Hinh Phuoc Long received Third-class Labor Medal. Four other musicians and choreographers were offered awards at Khanh Hoa’s five-year literature – arts awards (2006-2011).
Fine arts and photography also had outstanding activities with many exhibitions held in the country and abroad. Beside taking part in six joint exhibitions organized in foreign countries, Khanh Hoa’s artists had quite a lot of works displayed at international exhibitions held in England, USA, Australia, France, China, Hong Kong and Macao.
According to Hoang Nhat Tuyen, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Literature – Arts Association, 2009-2014 tenure, in the fifth tenure, the association will promote activities in all fields and pay much attention on upholding individuals’ creative arts potential as well as discovering and cultivating young artists. In addition, the association will create a website for Nha Trang Magazine to attract more readers and collaborators.
