Attending Harmony World Puppet Carnival 2014, one of the world's greatest and most spectacular puppet carnivals, held in Bangkok, Thailand from November 1 to 11, the artists of Vietnam Puppetry Theatre won the Grand Prix award with their work named "The Melody of Homelands".

“The Melody of Homelands” was arranged based on Vietnam’s traditional folk songs which are close to the life of Vietnamese farmers. The artists used materials like rattan and bamboo, helping the puppets lively and pretty.
Reportedly, Harmony World Puppet Carnival 2014 was joined by 165 troupes from 80 countries from all over the world.
