Ai Ly loves the arts since she was young. She managed to watch every arts show which was held in her commune (Ninh Quang Commune, Ninh Hoa Town). However, she never dreamed of becoming an artist because in her thought, arts is something “luxurious”.
In 1985, Khanh Hoa Provincial Traditional Arts Theatre recruited Bai Choi actors and actresses. Ai Ly, who was in the ten-grade class at that time, registered and became the student of the first course of Phu Khanh Culture– Arts Intermediate School, the former name of Nha Trang Culture, Arts & Tourism College. Through the process of learning and doing arts activity, Ai Ly’s love for Bai Choi has become more and more profound.
Ai Ly has worked at Khanh Hoa Provincial Traditional Arts Theatre since her graduation. She learned a lot from the senior artists such as Thanh Binh and Bich Thuy. In 2000, Ai Ly was assigned the role “Hanh” in the drama “Hon Vong Phu”, which could be considered as a landmark in her life. This role helped her to win the third prize at the national festival for young talented theater artists.

Also thanks to the role “Hanh” and that honorable prize, Ai Ly became a valuable actress who has always been chosen to play the role of unfortunate and miserable women whenever Khanh Hoa Provincial Traditional Arts Theatre stages a new play. Ai Vy’s sweet singing voice, good acting and sad eyes have helped her to win the audiences’ sympathy for her roles.
Ai Ly has also been known as a dedicated artist of Khanh Hoa Provincial Traditional Arts Theatre. She always studies the script carefully to find the appropriate acting which can reveal the personality of the characters.
“When being assigned the lead role, I often feel anxious because my performance will affect the quality of the play as well as the achievement of the theatre at the festivals. Therefore, I have always tried to practice as hard as I can,” shared Ai Ly. In this profession, an artist cannot success without love for arts and hard working, Ai Ly added.
Acknowledging the contributions of artist Ai Vy, Khanh Hoa provincial approval council has recently proposed that the Central approval council to recognize Ai Vy as a Meritorious Artist.
