About Culin’Art
Culin’Art is a form of cuisine and art which is popular and favored by many people over the world but is still unfamiliar to most of Vietnamese. A culin’s art event offers the participants not only the opportunity to watch arts works (photos, paintings, sculptures, etc.) but also the chance to enjoy many dishes inspired by the exhibits.

Culin'Art photo exhibition used to be held many times in the hotels of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. In the first organization in Nha Trang City from January 22 to February 24, the event features 21 arts works of French photographer Thiery Beyne. Photography and cuisine has much in common, such as color, feeling, source, and so on. Therefore, the professional cooks of IHG created special dishes dedicated to the event in order to help the participants to feel the intersection of food and art. This new experience is also a unique feature of Culin'Art photo exhibition, favored by people all around the world.
Honoring local culture
Thiery Beyne, born in 1955, is a French photographer known for his 12 photos exhibitions held in Paris about human life in Asia, especially in Vietnam. Since settling in Nha Trang City in 2013, Thiery Beyne has considered photos on the daily life of people in the land of aloe wood as an integral part of his career.
“Vietnam has a different beauty compared to European countries. My passion is to introduce to the viewers the unique of Vietnam. To me, the photo is only meaningful when it tells a story of a person,” said Thiery Beyne.

21 photos of Thiery Beyne being exhibited at InterContinental Nha Trang Hotel contain impressive moments of local people, their daily activities and the natural beauty of Khanh Hoa which all blend together beautifully. Through the lens of a foreign photographer, the images of the locals working in salt field, fishing, planting, etc. were reflected truthfully and lively, leaving unforgettable impressions on viewers, especially foreign tourists.
The Culin'Art photo exhibition also shows the intersection of cuisine and photography through the ingredients which are taken from the places in the photos to cook some dishes.
“I am very impressed with the exhibition because through the photos and dishes, I can find many local features. The photos help me to see many beautiful landscapes and know more about how the local live and work. Besides, the food is awesome,” said Sarah, a tourist from Sweden.
Culin'Art photo exhibition is a new way to honor and introduce local culture to tourists. “Through food and art, the exhibition partly introduces Khanh Hoa’s sea culture to foreign tourists. The strongpoint of tourism in Khanh Hoa is sea and island tourism; therefore, the exhibition can be considered as an effective channel to promote Khanh Hoa’s tourism,” said Nguyen Van Thanh, Permanent Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Tourism Association.
