According to Dong Luong Son, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Stamp Association, Khanh Hoa Stamp exhibition 2015 is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the National Day. At the exhibition, visitors can watch many unique stamp collections. For example, Thai Trong Tri, a retired colonel, brought to the exhibition his stamp collection about the formation of the armed forces. The special stamp sets that issued by the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam and the Republic of South Vietnam are also featured at the exhibition. Le Van Dong, aged 82, introduces to the viewers his unique stamps having special shapes like banana, wine bottle, music record, fish and stamps made of gold, silver, bronze, aluminum and wood. Reportedly, Dong bought these stamps from the stamp-issuing countries all around the world. The collection of Nguy Nhu Anh offers the viewers a different view on the stamp painters. Anh was offered by a stamp painter some precious stamp sketches, in which there are some sketches worth thousands of dollars.

Other stamp collections are equally interesting. Collector Nguyen Thi My Kim introduces to the visitors the envelopes and autograph of Dr. Alexandre Yersin since 1900s as well as stamps issued by many countries to honor Dr. Yersin. Through the stamp set of Nguyen Thi Nhu Trang, the viewers can learn about the historical, political, economic and social events around the world, reflected in the stamps on the occasion of the 100th year of these events.

“Through the stamp exhibition, we hope that the young people, especially children, will be more interested in stamps and will learn more about the stamps because the stamps offer a treasure of knowledge. Hopefully, the visitors will find the exhibition interesting and useful,” said Dong Luong Son.
