According to stamp collector Nguy Nhu Anh, the stamps about the Communist Party of Vietnam have always played a significant position in the history of Vietnam’s voluntary postage. There are always stamps issued by Vietnamese postage industry on the occasions of anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s establishment. Until now, Vietnam has released 11 sets of postage stamps including 35 forms of stamps themed about the anniversaries of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s establishment.

The stamp collectors in and outside the country have also interested in the stamps on the Party Congresses. Vietnam Post has issued 13 sets with 32 stamp forms reflecting the ebullient activities and lively atmosphere of the whole country celebrating the Party Congresses.
Among the stamp drawers, Tran The Vinh is the well-known designers who has had most stamp forms about the Party Congresses. Some of Vinh’s stamp sets about this theme are “Welcoming the sixth Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam” (issued on November 20, 1986), “The eighth Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam” (released on February 3, 1996), “Contemplating the resolution of the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam” (released on February 3, 1996). In 2011, Tran The Vinh associated with painter Vu Kim Lien to design the set of stamps to celebrate the 11th Congress of Vietnamese Communist Party.

According to collector Nguy Nhu Anh, the theme about the Communist Party of Vietnam has always gained the attention of many stamp collectors. Some of the typical collections are “Communist Party and Uncle Ho lead Vietnamese revolution to victories” (Vu Thang Van, Hanoi), “Glorious Communist Party of Vietnam” (Tran Thanh Thuy, Nghe An), “Communist Party of Vietnam with Vietnamese Revolution cause” (Nguyen Van Cong, Quang Ngai), and so on.
In Khanh Hoa, there are also many stamp collectors owning the collections on this theme, including Le Thi Minh Chau, Nguy Nhu Anh and Pham Khanh Hong, etc. In 2010, Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Information and Communications in association with the provincial Post Office and provincial Stamp Association to organize a stamp exhibition about the Communist Party and Uncle Ho. The exhibition attracted a lot of stamp collectors. Specially, many children brought to the exhibition their unique collections about the Party.
According to collector Pham Khanh Hong, there are a lot of stamps about the Party and Uncle Ho; however, many of them are duplicates. Therefore, the collectors need to make many researches in order to create unique collections.
