Khanh Hoa Provincial Association of Literature – Arts has just opened a fine arts exhibition about New Year 2016 at the provincial Cultural Center. The exhibition draws the participation of many province’s senior painters (Tran Hoa An, Le Vu, Nguyen Huu Bai, etc.) and outstanding ones (Bui Van Quang, Quang Tuyen, Le Van Duy, Kinh Dinh, Tran Manh Duc, Tran Ha, and so on). This exhibition also acknowledges the participation of some new painters, including Bui Trung Chinh, Le Toan, Vo Viet Dung and Nguyen Huu Dan, etc.

“The paintings displayed at this exhibition are not the typical works of the reputable painters but the new paintings which reflect the distinctive style of each painter. Especially, the paintings have good art quality, reflecting dimensionally the natural beauty and life of people in Khanh Hoa in particular and Vietnam in general,” said Tran Ha, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Association of Literature – Arts.

Visitors contemplating paintings.
Visitors contemplating paintings.

These days, there have been quite a lot of people coming to contemplate the paintings. The painters used different materials (acrylic, oil paint, embossed copper, synthetic) to create their works in many schools of arts. In the paintings, the visitors can see the image of children striving to earn their living on the streets, countryside, children’s innocence and beauty of nature.

The exhibition also features many paintings of river and sea. Coming to the exhibition, the people can contemplate the images which can arouse emotions, such as the village by the river, boats anchored at the river watering place, Ponagar Temple by Cai River and boats lying on deserted wharf.

Also at this exhibition, some painters show their changes in painting style. The combination of different colors and brushstrokes created poetic pictures, evoking emotions in the viewers.

Hopefully, the exhibition will help to invigorate the painters to create more works.
