On February 2, Khanh Hoa Provincial Press Association, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Department of Information and Communications jointly opened Khanh Hoa Spring Newspaper Festival 2016 at Khanh Hoa Provincial Library. Present at the ceremony were Nguyen Tan Tuan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Khanh Hoa Province; Ho Van Mung, member of Khanh Hoa Provincial Standing Party Committee, Head of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Propaganda & Training; Nguyen Dac Tai, Vice-chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.

4,100 publications of around 500 press agencies are displayed at the 2016 spring newspaper festival. Apart from the provincial Library, the publications are also displayed in some localities in the province.
Reportedly, after the festival’s closing ceremony (February 15), the organization board will send the publications to the Spratly Islands, libraries and cultural centers in the province to serve the readers.
