The Vietnamese ethnic groups' Cultural Day 2016 kicked off with an opening ceremony in Khanh Son District on April 19. Attending the event were Nguyen Duy Bac, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, leaders of province's departments, units and localities, and more than 400 artisans, actors and athletes of ethnic minorities in Khanh Son District, Cam Lam District, Khanh Vinh District, Ninh Hoa Town and Cam Ranh City.

The two-day cultural event features many traditional musical performances and folk games.
Reportedly, the fourteenth of April has been the Vietnamese ethnic groups’ Cultural Day since 2008.
