According to Hoang Quy, Chief of Expert Bureau of the provincial Vestige Preservation Center, the documenting of vestiges has been conducted under a tight process. Reportedly, in 2015, the center documented six historical vestiges at provincial level, including Hoi Phuoc Communal House (Dien Binh, Dien Khanh), Hoi Phuoc Pagoda (Phuong Sai, Nha Trang), Long Son Pagoda (Van Phu, Van Ninh), Dong Ha Communal House (Ninh Hai, Ninh Hoa), Ngan Ha Communal House (Ninh Thuy, Ninh Hoa), etc. Earlier, basing on the documented vestiges made by the center, the Ministry of Culture – Sports and Tourism recognized three vestiges in Khanh Hoa (sovereignty steles on the Spratly Islands, memorial site for C235 Ship in Ninh Hoa, Hoa Diem archaeological site in Cam Ranh) as national historical relics.

This year, there are three vestiges which are documented, including Thien An Pagoda (Ninh Dong, Ninh Hoa), Bao Dai Villa (Vinh Nguyen, Nha Trang), Ninh Lam Communal House (Van Khanh, Van Ninh). Bao Dai Villa used to be included in the list of provincial level historical – cultural vestiges in 1995. However, for some reasons, the documentation of this vestige has just been made in 2016.

“Bao Dai Villa has a significant historical and cultural value; therefore, the documenting needs to be carried out carefully. A part from the provincial Vestige Preservation Center and Khanh Hoa Museum, the professionals were also invited to assess the historical relics. Until now, the documentation of Bao Dai Villa has been basically completed,” said Le Van Hoa, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

As reported by Hoang Quy, the documenting of vestige in Khanh Hoa has more advantages compared to other localities. Some reasons are that the vestiges in Khanh Hoa were established not too long ago and the documenting has always been supported by the local authorities. Besides, a part of revenue of Ponagar Temple has also been used for the vestiges preservation. However, the process of documenting has still had some difficulties such as the loss of artifacts and documents during the wars, causing the difficult to identify the date.

According to Hoa, Khanh Hoa Provincial Vestige Preservation Center has conducted quite well the documenting of vestiges. During the documenting process, the center’s staffs have also propagandized for the law of cultural heritages, helping the vestige management board in the localities to know more about the preservation of cultural heritages. Until now, the ranked vestiges have been preserved and embellished better.
