Khanh Hoa holds musical program to mark 55th anniversary of Agent Orange catastrophe in Vietnam

Khanh Hoa Provincial Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in association with GTO Media Corporation held a musical program on August 8 in order to mark the 55th anniversary of the Agent Orange catastrophe in Vietnam. Attending the program were Nguyen Tan Tuan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Dac Tai, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, representatives of businesses and locals.

According to the provincial Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, Khanh Hoa Province has more than 9,000 people who were exposed to Agent Orange; over 1,800 victims have been given monthly allowance; over 70 percent of Agent Orange victims have lived in poor conditions.

At the program, the units, organizations, businesses and benefactors donated more than VND200 million to the funds for Agent Orange Victims.

Also on this occasion, Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin offered campaign medals to 26 individuals who have had many contributions to the association.
