Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and provincial Military Headquarters recently held the 26th musical festival themed about the soldiers. The songs which praise the love for nation, Communist Party, Uncle Ho, and the soldiers contributed to enhance the relationship between the soldiers and the civilians.

Twelve units of the armed forces, organizations and schools in the province took part in the festival and performed more than 60 items. The units which had highly-evaluated performances are provincial Military Headquarters, provincial Border Guard Headquarters, High Command of Naval Region 4, Telecommunications University, and Air Force Officer Academy. As reported by composer Cao Minh Tho, Head of Professional Knowledge Bureau of Khanh Hoa Cultural Center, the units arranged their performances with meticulous care. The participants also showed good vocal technique.

According to the organization board, although the number of participating units at this year’s festival was not as many as the 2015 one, the performances still remained good quality. With the highly effective propaganda items, praising Uncle Ho, Communist Party, tradition of Vietnam People’s Army, sovereignty over sea and island, and so on, the units evoked heartfelt emotion and partly enhanced the relationship between the soldiers and civilians.

As said by Nguyen Phuong Dong, Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Center of Culture, head of the jury, the meticulous arrangements and diverse forms of performances showed the enthusiasm and responsibility of the participants. Aside from the familiar outstanding members, the units introduced to the public their fresh faces. The 2016 festival also saw the initiative of the units in arranging items.

The images of soldiers, students and workers singing together at the 2016 musical festival about soldiers left a beautiful impression about the connection between the soldiers and civilians. Khanh Hoa has been the only locality in Vietnam which has remained the regular organization of musical festival about the soldiers in 26 years. Apart from the attendance of the units from the armed forces, the festival has also been joined by the art groups from the civil units.

At the closing ceremony of the festival, the organization board and Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Headquarters gave certificates of merit to the participating units and outstanding performances.
