Sac Tu Thien An Pagoda |
Sac Tu Thien An Pagoda was established in around 1802 by Superior Buddhist Monk Buu Tinh. The pagoda was one of the monasteries where Superior Buddhist Monk Thich Quang Duc spent his monastic life from 1930 to 1945. This pagoda was also the poll for the First National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on January 6, 1946. During the war against France, the pagoda was ravaged; the pagoda’s abbot engaged in voluntary activities and then was killed by the aggressors (recognized as a revolutionary martyr afterwards).
