The activities responding to the Vietnamese Ethnic Groups’ Cultural Day will take place from April 18 to 20 over the province. Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in association with the provincial Association of Literature and Arts will organize two main activities at 2-4 Square, Nha Trang, which are photo exhibition on cultural colors and traditional arts show.
As planned, the photo exhibition will open on April 18, featuring around 80 photographs of traditional culture of Vietnamese ethnic minorities, in which there are 20 photos on unique culture of ethnic groups in Khanh Hoa. A traditional arts show will be held after the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition, joined by Hai Dang Song and Dance Troop and traditional musical troops from Quang Ngai Province, Ninh Thuan Province and Son La Province.

According to Le Van Hoa, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the participating units have being prepared carefully for this event. Many performances of unique traditional music of Cham people, Raglai people, Thai people, and so on will be introduced to the audience. These performances will help the locals and tourists to know more about the cultural features of Vietnam’s ethnic groups, through which the preservation of traditional culture will be improved.
Also on this occasion, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will celebrate Vietnamese Ethnic Groups’ Day in Khanh Vinh District with many traditional cultural and sports activities in April 19-20. Especially, on April 19, a traditional musical performance and fashion show featuring costumes of ethnic minorities in Khanh Hoa will be organized at Khanh Vinh District Center of Culture and Sports. Khanh Hoa Cinema Center will screen some films to serve the locals.
Reportedly, the participating units joining the Vietnamese Ethnic Groups’ Day 2017 in Khanh Hoa have tried to incorporate their typical characteristics and things into the programs, for example gongs, "rượu cần" (wine drunk out of a jar through pipes), papoose, arbalest of Ninh Hoa; “còn” throwing of Khanh Vinh; durian, purple sugar cane of Khanh Son. Additionally, the units will introduce some typical models who have well contributed in preserving the traditional culture.
