Khanh Hoa Provincial Children’s House lately associated with Champa Island Nha Trang to hold a drawing contest for children themed “Khanh Hoa in my eyes”. This was a useful and interesting playground for children who love drawing in the province.
The contest was joined by hundreds of children over the province. The contest also included an exhibition of top drawings of students of Khanh Hoa Provincial Children’s House. Through the contest, the children showed their creativity and expressed imagination and dreams of the motherland, nature, people in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, and environmental protection.
As said by Pham Le Hoai, fine arts teacher at Khanh Hoa Provincial Children’s House, the contest is held every two years to create useful playground for children loving drawing. In this years’ contest, in order to encourage the creativity of participants, beside paper, the organizer arranged umbrellas and palm-leaf conical hats for the children to draw on. This helped the contestants to perform their creativity in unique way. The typical landscape of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa were lively portrayed in the drawings, such as fishing village, Ponagar Temple, Nha Trang Cathedral, sea, countryside, farmer and buffalo on fields, and so on.
Nguyen Phuong Danh, Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Children’s House, this year’s drawing contest was invested better compared to the previous ones thanks to the support of Champa Island Nha Trang. The children expressed their thought and message about the motherland and environment through the portrayals with vivid colors. Although taking part in only three days, the 2017 drawing contest drew the participation of mover 500 children across the province. In total, the organization committee offered 118 prizes to the most outstanding contestants and groups of contestants.
“We will keep holding the contest with better quality in order to promote the fine arts movement among children in Khanh Hoa Province,” added Danh.
