On June 21, Khanh Hoa Provincial Journalists’ Association organized a ceremony to commemorate the 92nd anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Journalism Day and offer prizes to winners of Khanh Hoa Press Awards 2017. Attending the event were Nguyen Tan Tuan, Standing Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Dac Tai, Member of Khanh Hoa Provincial Standing Committee, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee; Ho Van Mung, Member of Khanh Hoa Provincial Standing Committee, Head of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Propaganda & Training.

Khanh Hoa Press Awards 2017 received 140 entries of 131 journalists and groups of journalists. Finally, the articles about the shortcomings at the resettlement areas (groups of journalists of Khanh Hoa Newspaper) and fishermen clinging on sea (groups of authors of Khanh Hoa Radio – Television Station) were presented first prizes.

The organization committee also gave four second prizes, six third prizes, ten consolation prizes and two collective prizes to other entries. The journalists of Khanh Hoa Newspapers were given one first prize, one second prize, two third prizes, and three consolation prizes.

On this occasion, Vietnam Journalists’ Association offered commemorative medals for the cause of Vietnam revolutionary journalism to four journalists. The Journalists’ Association of Khanh Hoa gave certificates of merit to nine excellent members and admitted ten new members.
