According to Tran Dinh Dung, Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Monument Preservation Center, in the first days of Lunar New Years 2018, there were a large number of visitors going to Ponagar Temple (Nha Trang).
Specifically, around ten thousand people not including the locals going to the temple to offering incense visited Ponagar Temple on the occasion of Lunar New Years 2018 (from February 15 to 20). Afterwards, the temple receives 7,000 to 8,000 visitors per day. Most of the visitors are from China.
In order to offer tourists attractive services, Ponagar Temple often holds some programs bearing typical cultural features of Vietnamese such as traditional music performance, brocade weaving, pottery making. The brocade and pottery products made by Cham people (ethnic group in Vietnam) are also displayed and sold at the temple as souvenirs.
