The Khanh Hoa’s Spring Flower Festival 2018 attracts the interest of visitors with its display and decoration. The rural areas of Vietnam are reflected lively through the replicas of rice field, thatched cottage, buffalo, opo squash trellis, gourd trellis, winged bean trellis, eggplant trellis, muskmelon trellis, watermelon. These familiar images of villages and rural areas evoke the pleasant memories of childhood in many people and interest foreign tourists and children.

More than 800 ornamental works are displayed in an area of 4,270 square meters, including orchids, apricot blossom, ornamental trees, rockwork, bonsais, decorations, ornamental dry trees, and so on. Many people visiting this year’s spring flower festival have been impressed with a giant bonsai of Dinh River Ornamental Creature Club (Ninh Hoa Town) which is about 8m long. Artisan Lai Khanh Anh Lan from Duc Trong (Lam Dong Province) brought 11 bonsai trees and 11 ornamental dry trees, in which there is Da Lat Flower Festival bronze-prize winning bonsai.

While the meticulousness of the artisans in creating the beautiful shapes of bonsai, ornamental trees, rockworks, decorations, and ornamental dry trees are often admired by the people visiting the spring flower festival, the charming of colorful flowers, displays and decorations is the favorite of many people, especially young ones who are fond of taking souvenir photographs.

According to Nguyen Sy Khanh, Deputy Chairman of Nha Trang City People’s Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of Khanh Hoa’s Spring Flower Festival 2018, the festival is planed to take place every year in order to honor the traditional cultural values and create an interesting venue for both locals and tourists during Lunar New Year days. The 2018 Spring Flower Festival lasts from February 8 to February 20. Apart from flowers and other ornamental displays, the festival includes some stands selling Vietnam’s handicrafts, local products, and sketches. Additionally, music programs are held at nights throughout the festival to serve the locals and tourists
