The opening ceremony of Ponagar Temple Festival 2018 held at Ponagar Temple on May 6 saw the attendance of Nguyen Tan Tuan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council; Le Duc Vinh, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of the provincial departments and units; pilgrims, locals, and tourists.

A lot of Cham people from Ninh Thuan Province brought offerings to offer to Thien Y Ana Goddess (Po Inu Nagar) who is credited with teaching people to grow rice, weave fabric, etc.

Ponagar Temple is expected to be visited by more than 100,000 people during the festival, in which over 100 groups of pilgrims are from Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, and so on.
