Festival for Vietnam SOS Children's Villages 2018 opens

On June 19, the Vietnam SOS Children's Village and Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs opened the eighth Festival for Vietnam SOS Children's Villages at Khanh Hoa Nursing and Caring Center for People with Meritorious Service.

On June 19, the Vietnam SOS Children’s Village and Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs opened the eighth Festival for Vietnam SOS Children’s Villages at Khanh Hoa Nursing and Caring Center for People with Meritorious Service. Attending the opening ceremony were Nguyen Nhi Ha, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs and Chairman of Vietnam SOS Children’s Village; Nguyen Tan Tuan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council.
 
During the festival from June 19 to 23, 17 children from 17 SOS Children’s Villages across the country take part in many activities, for example visiting Hon Dung Martyrs’ Cemetery; visiting and exchanging with the soldiers of the Naval Region 4 Headquarters; cleaning the environment; visiting tourist attractions in Nha Trang; competing in Golden Bell Contest, etc.

At the ceremony, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs offered financial assistance for the festival to the organization committee; Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee gave 17 gifts to the participating groups of children.
 
The festival is a biennial activity of Vietnam SOS Children’s Village.
