The test version of website namely 3D Digital Library, http://khanhhoa.egal.vn, providing information and 3D images of the monuments, relics and landscape in Khanh Hoa was launched since July.

The 3D images are expected to bring exciting experiences to users when searching for the information and images of the relics and tourist attractions in Khanh Hoa. The test version of the website is including four main sections: heritage map, list of heritages, artifact library, and contact. At the present, only 14 monuments and relics have been published on this test version. The information will be released in Vietnamese and English versions.

As said by Ha Dinh Dung, specialist of the Information and Communications Technology Institute CDIT who supervise the operation of the 3D Digital Library, there have many websites on Nha Trang tourism; however, most of the photographs displayed on these websites have only been in 2D. The 3D digital library aims to create a new and attractive channel for tourists to search for tourism information in Khanh Hoa.

The website can be considered as a store of the relics and monuments with vivid images and clearer information, which will improve the interactivity with the users as well as help the preservation and renovation of the heritages to be carried out better.

These photos can also be seen with 3D glasses both on computer and smartphone. “The test version is still defective. We look forward to receiving the feedback from the users so that we can continue to perfect the website and improve its quality,” said Ha Dinh Dung.

According to Huynh Ky Hanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Science and Technology, with the 3D Digital Library, Khanh Hoa became the first locality in Vietnam 3D digitize the images of heritages and landscape on a large scale. Reportedly, the website will continue to be upgraded until August 30 and will officially run in September.
