At the ceremony, the attendees looked back on the life, career, and contributions of Dr. Alexandre Yersin, the honorary citizen of Vietnam, to Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa in particular and Vietnam in general.

On this occasion, the Association of Admirers of Dr. Alexandre Yersin in Khanh Hoa offered the Yersin awards to six excellent students of Yersin Junior High School (Nha Trang) and Suoi Cat Junior High School (Cam Lam District), worth VND4 million each. The Yersin Language Center also gave ten scholarships of VND 1.5 million each to the students of Yersin Junior High School.
