Writers Le Tat Dieu and Tran Quoc Anh wrote a book about the gentle lessons of life. The books tells a story about an old paper lantern which is sad because of being forgotten throughout a year, but tries to bring happiness to the children on Mid-Autumn Festival.

Many parents have tended to buy books as gifts on the Mid-Autumn occasion in order to cultivate a reading habit in their children. “In the past, I often bought toys for my child on the occasions of Mid-Autumn and Children’s Day. This year, I decided to buy a book as Mid-Autumn gift for my child. Books will teach the children useful knowledge,” said Nguyen Mai Lien (Ngoc Hoi Hamlet, Vinh Ngoc Commune, Nha Trang).

According to Phan Van The, head shopkeeper at Fahasa Bookstore (Nha Trang), the Mid-Autumn occasion is often not the bookstore’s peak period. However, during the Mid-Autumn Festival 2018, there have been many people going to Fahasa to buy children books. Many books about Mid-Autumn have been sold out and are available through orders.
