The 2019 edition of Khanh Hoa’s festival for cultural villages will be participated by eight teams from the districts, communes, and cities across the province. These teams are the most outstanding ones in the festival for cultural villages held at district-level. The team of Tri Nguyen Island was selected to represent Nha Trang City at this year’s provincial festival.

The 2019 festival will take place from September 11 to 13. The participating teams will compete in four sections, namely introduction, traditional trade villages, folk games, and decoration with items reflecting the typical features of each locality. In the introduction section, the participants will introduce their teams and their localities through short plays. The section of traditional trade village is an opportunity for the participants to show their dexterous skills in making traditional crafts such as palm-leaf conical hat, seashell curtain, papoose, and fishing net. In the folk game section, the participants play many folk games, for example sack jumping, tug of war, hitting clay pot, and capturing flag. The locals and tourists can watch the teams’ performances and competitions and enjoy or buy the typical local food and products sold at the festival.

Reportedly, the organization committee will evaluate and offer their comments to all the performances prior to the festival. Besides the performances and competitions for each section of the participating teams, the 2019 festival for cultural villages will include the music performances of the provincial Center of Culture and Cinema.
