Khanh Hoa ready for exhibition on photographs and films about ASEAN

An exhibition on photo and reportage - documentary films in the ASEAN community is going to be held at Khanh Hoa Provincial Conference Center (No.46 Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang) from October 25 to 28. Preparing carefully for the exhibition since the end of August, Khanh Hoa Province has been ready for this event. In a recent interview, Pham Duy Loc, director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Information and Communications, said:

Preparing carefully for the exhibition since the end of August, Khanh Hoa Province has been ready for this event. In a recent interview, Pham Duy Loc, director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Information and Communications, said:
 
- The exhibition aims to help Khanh Hoa people to have a deeper understanding of people from other ASEAN countries; enhance the solidarity and friendship among the peoples in the region through the exhibited photographs of the countries and people in the Southeast Asia region. The exhibition will also introduce the province’s socio-economic strength and potential to the public.
 
 
 
- What content the exhibited photos, reportage and documentary films will feature?
 
- The exhibition will feature 300 photographs and 100 reportage films and documentaries made by ASEAN photographers and filmmakers. These photos and films won prizes or were the final entries at the Festivals of Photos and Reportage – Documentary Films on the Ethnics in ASEAN Community held in Vietnam in the years 2010, 2013 and 2015. 
 
The exhibits present the cultures, the peoples, environmental protection, and climate change in the region. The exhibition’s opening ceremony will take place at 5pm on October 25, attended by leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications, ambassadors of ASEAN countries, leaders of Khanh Hoa Province, many soldiers, and Youth Union members. The access to the exhibition is free of charge.
 
- How has the preparation for the exhibition been going so far?
 
- This is the first time Khanh Hoa has hosted an exhibition of photos and reportage – documentary films about ASEAN nations and its people, environmental protection, and climate change in the region. Therefore, the organization committee tries to prepare meticulously for the exhibition. The opening will feature the art performances of Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe in 30 minutes. The provincial Cinema Center has been carrying out propaganda activities as well as prepared equipment for the event. Other units involved in the exhibition have also been implementing preparation work to get ready for the exhibition. After the exhibition, all the exhibits will be preserved at the provincial museum.
