Under the directions of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, the province’s cultural units, such as provincial Traditional Art Theatre, Hai Dang song and dance troupe, provincial Culture-Cinema Center, provincial Monument Conservation Center, provincial museum, provincial library, have carried out many activities to celebrate the Visit Vietnam Year (the national tourism year) 2019.
In the year of 2019, Khanh Hoa Provincial Traditional Art Theatre has contributed in preserving and promoting the values of traditional culture. The theatre arranged four new programs; held 87 shows at the districts, and 98 street art shows; took part in the major cultural events of the province. Hai Dang song and dance troupe held 35 music shows to serve political tasks and other shows as directed by the province.

The provincial Culture-Cinema Center held many movement cultural events; supported the units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the ministry’s activities in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa. Besides, the center mounted 20 propaganda programs on the occasion of the province’s major festivals and events; held eight cultural exhibitions and 1,298 roving screenings, and so on.
As for the provincial Monument Conservation Center, apart from producing dossiers of monuments, checking and issuing instructions for monument preservation, the center successfully organized Ponagar Temple Festival, which attracted over 100 groups of pilgrims; cooperated with other units to hold Am Chu Festival, Death Anniversary of Hung Kings. The center also combined with the localities in the province to hold propaganda programs for cultural heritages, display artistic photos of heritages and landscape in Khanh Hoa, hold exhibition on pottery-making and brocade-making techniques of Cham people at Ponagar Temple.
Khanh Hoa museum collected and bought 500 new artifacts; refined the collection of Hoa Diem pottery and ancient metal coins; cooperated with the provincial departments and agencies to hold roving exhibitions about the Spratly and Paracel Islands and the beauty of Khanh Hoa Province.
The provincial library in 2019 opened more reading corners at the schools across the province; held activities to promote reading movement; organized book storytelling contests for children.
Reportedly, the cultural units in Khanh Hoa Province have been actively preparing cultural and art activities and programs to serve the locals and tourists in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa on the upcoming New Year holiday.
