Khanh Hoa museum’s 2020 Tet activities will take place at the museum (No.16 Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang) until February 28. The visitors to the museum, especially the ones who love ancient objects can be interested in nearly 200 exhibited antiques, varying from objects made of stone and bronze; pottery with Chinese designs; pottery made in the times of Vietnamese Kings: Ly, Tran, Le, Nguyen; and pottery of Vietnam’s famous brand names. These antiques, which were selected from the collections of the members of Nha Trang Antique Club, can provide the public some information about the historical and cultural features of Vietnam.

Besides the antique exhibition, the museum displays more than 40 art photos about ASEAN community. Visitors can learn about the traditions and customs as well as contemplate beauty of landscapes and people of the countries in Southeast Asia through the photos. Reportedly, these photos were taken by the photographers from ASEAN countries and were given by the Ministry of Information and Communications.
The highlight of Tet activities 2020 at Khanh Hoa museum are the rural features of Vietnam’s villages partly reflected through the design, decoration and folk games. Visitors to the museum on January 18 and 19 could also try to make “Tét” cakes. A group of women in Nha Trang actively participate in the 2020 Tet activities of the museum by making and cooking nearly 400 “Tét” cakes and offered to disadvantaged people. On those two days, many local children and foreign tourists were enthusiastically taught how to wrap and tie “Tét” cakes properly. “My child enjoyed wrapping “Tét” cakes very much. I think this is a meaningful activity which should be organized annually and at a larger scale,” said Thanh Thuy living on Dien Bien Phu Street, Nha Trang.
The museum also holds a Tet fair with 12 stalls of some small businesses in Nha Trang, selling confectionery, beauty products, clothes, etc. Additionally, visitors to the museum in the evening can watch music shows featuring the performances of Du Ca Nha Trang club and Con Gai Nha Trang band. From January 25 to 29 (lunar January 1 to 5), children visiting the museum can play some interesting folk games.
