The poetry book namely “Mật ngôn của tình yêu” of poet Le Khanh Mai has just been nominated for Prize A of Khanh Hoa’s Literature and Art Awards 2019. The poetry book comprises 50 most favorite poems composed in the last ten years of poet Le Khanh Mai. In 2019, Khanh Hoa’s writers and poets produced hundreds of poets, short stories, literary criticisms, and so on. These works were published in many domestic newspapers and magazines. 11 writers and poets published books of their works.

2019 was the year marking many remarkable achievements of Khanh Hoa artists, writers, and poets. Screenwriter Nguyen Sy Chuc was honored with a prestigious prize of Vietnam Literature and Art Association for his bài chòi script namely “Chói rạng sơn hà”. Earlier, this script was given golden prize by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Prize A of Khanh Hoa Provincial Literature-Art Awards 2019. Hoang Minh Tam was honored by the High Command of Navy as excellent director for his script “Tình yêu thủy thủ tàu ngầm”.
The province’s artistic photographers sent a lot of their works to domestic and international contests in the year of 2019. 17 photos of 13 Khanh Hoa artistic photographers were selected to display at the art photo contest of the central and highland regions. At this contest, Vuong Manh Cuong and Bui Mai Thien of Khanh Hoa were offered bronze prize and consolation prize, respectively. Some other artistic photographers of Khanh Hoa won prizes at the international contests of Photographic Society of America (PSA), International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), ISF, etc.

The province’s song writers also composed and introduced hundreds of songs last year. Some of the music performances of Khanh Hoa art groups won prizes at the contests organized by the central units and other localities in the country. For example, a song of song writer Hinh Phuoc Lien was given consolation prize by Vietnam Song Writers’ Association and High Command of Vietnam Border Guards. Khanh Hoa’s male dance group gained two silver prizes at the national amateur dance contest.
In 2019, 21 paintings of 21 painters of Khanh Hoa were exhibited at the fine art exhibition of the south central and highland regions held by Vietnam Fine Art Association. Reportedly, there have been more and more young painters in Khanh Hoa. The province’s Fine Art Branch has actively provided support to these young painters so that they can improve their skills.
The research on the culture of Raglai people in Khanh Hoa Province of researcher Tran Kiem Hoang was presented Prize 3 of Vietnam Folk Arts Association. Folk cultural researcher Ngo Van Ban achieved Prize 3 for his work on the areas and locations in Quang Ngai Province which were described in folk verses, proverbs, legends, and folk beliefs.
Nguyen Dac Tai, Permanent Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee highly appreciated the contributions of the province’s artists; directed the relevant units and associations to continue provide support to the artists in order to promote the province’s literature and art, especially traditional art.
